Co-innovation receives 2026 KLAS Points of Light and K2 Collaborative Peak Awards for connected value-based care workflows

BOSTON – May 28, 2026 – athenahealth today announced it received 2026 KLAS Points of Light and K2 Collaborative Peak awards alongside Aetna CVS Health and Catalyst Health Group for their joint effort to advance real-time clinical data exchange across payer and provider workflows. This initiative demonstrates how interoperable, real-time access to clinical information can reduce administrative friction and support more seamless care coordination between payers and providers.

Reducing Administrative Friction with Real-Time Clinical Data Exchange

athenahealth and Aetna collaborated to scale real-time clinical data exchange across athenahealth’s network earlier this year, building on HL7 FHIR and Da Vinci interoperability standards to support more connected value-based care workflows. Through athenahealth’s interoperability capabilities, Aetna gained more efficient access to clinical insights that support quality and risk initiatives across participating provider organizations, including Catalyst Health Group.
