In late August, long before Superstorm Sandy would rearrange Dr. Bernadette Sheridan’s life, we met her at her medical practice in the Canarsie section of Brooklyn.
We were there because athenahealth shares client stories, developing videos to highlight practice successes, experiences and unique situations. Sheridan's Grace Family Medical Practice is an example of a high-performance organization in an underserved area.
It should come through in the video, but Dr. Sheridan supplies a lot of the energy pushing the action at Grace Family. When she's not in the exam room, she slows down to talk to patients in the waiting room, sometimes in Haitian-French or Spanish. She has a lot of patients and maintains a high tempo.
If you’ve been reading the athenahealth blog you know Dr. Sheridan’s story about surviving Sandy. If you missed it, here’s the first installment of the series.
