I have been using Reminder Call for six months in my practice.
Prior to that we did all of our calls manually.
The savings from Reminder Call come from having to not do any sort of mailing whatsoever. Postage continues to up. I think it just went up last week a few cents.
We have very few no shows in this practice right now.
Everyone shows up and our patients are busy like everyone else and they liked the call. They like a reminder. They’ll tell me often, I’m so glad you guys had that service. I nearly forgot my appointment. They appreciate the reminder and they also appreciate that when they get that call they have the ability to cancel the appointment or reschedule the appointment right there on their cell phone or at dinner and that’s a very convenient bonus for them, to not have to worry about contacting the office the next day.
So it has saved money again in terms of just freeing up time for the staff to be working at our AR or looking at their buckets or just doing things that they should be doing instead of wasting time, which I think is calling people up and saying you have an appointment, it’s using technology for actually a good benefit.
Now it’s linked in with athena so we can clearly see that the patient was contacted, how they were contacted on the screen when we open our daily flow and that’s a bonus for us because we know how the day is going to go. Our patients are very pleased with it and we are too.
