Announcing the Q4 2007 Live Benchmarking Winners
Congratulations to all of the Q4 2007 Live Benchmarking Winners!
If you’re already an athenahealth client, you almost certainly understand the benefits of Live Benchmarking. With one click of the mouse, athenahealth clients can verify claim statuses, the amount of money due from self-pay patients, and many more metrics that are helpful in tracking practices’ performance. At the end of each quarter, athenahealth looks at an aggregate score of four metrics to determine the top three practices in each region and specialty. This has generated some healthy competition among clients (and frequent checking of scores).
Trudy L. Tieman, Practice Administrator for the single-provider practice of Diveris Orthopedics and Sports Medicine, PC, in Merrillville, IN admits “I check [her Live Benchmarks] every day to make sure we’re number one, two or three”.
Live Benchmarking provides clients with a quick pulse check of their practice compared to others in their region and specialty on these key metrics:
- Average length of time (in days) between the date of service and the date the charge is entered
- Average number of days it takes to resolve a practice responsibility front-end rejection or back-end denial (for both office staff and Practice or Billing Mangers)
- Percentage of open self-pay balances that are older than 90 days
