Inside athenaCollectorSM: How the New CAB Works for Our Clients

Have an idea for improving athenaCollector? Want to see new functionality or tweak a current process? Wondering about future design plans?

At athenahealth, we don’t just talk about working with clients to achieve the best possible solutions and service. This month, we’re announcing the new Client Advisory Board (CAB) to make sure we hear what our clients are saying.

The CAB is a group of athenahealth clients recently appointed to organize and direct client input into the development of athenaCollectorSM. CAB members will serve as the official voice of the client. They’ll bring opinions, challenges and questions to athenahealth from their own practices and those of colleagues. They’ll also test proposed system designs.

This month, we’re pleased to announce the CAB’s 10 new members. Clients were given the opportunity to apply to become a CAB member and were selected to achieve the best possible representation of athenahealth clients as a whole, including geography, practice size and specialty.

They will also discuss the best practices for collecting outstanding patient balances, including statements, pre-collection letters and calls, skip-tracing, and credit risk scoring.

Topics for future CAB meetings include:

  • Auditing Third-Party Payment Accuracy
  • Providing Differentiated Patient Services
  • Connecting the Community

Of course, CAB members’ contact information is available to all athenaCollector clients. So any athenaCollector client can contact the CAB and provide feedback on agenda items. We’ve always welcomed feedback from our clients and their suggestions for new offerings, so we can’t wait to work with the new CAB to improve current functionality and finalize new products and services. Welcome to all new CAB members – congratulations and thank you! We look forward to your ideas for the future.
