Letter from Jonathan
Welcome to 2007. The athenahealth motto for this year is, "product and service delivery based on integration and integrity." Our resolution is to continue to deliver a simpler, more user friendly athenaCollectorSM and athenaClinicalsSM. This year's releases will bring a more streamlined interface resulting in fewer places to go and things to do in order to get the same work done. Posting, follow-up and denial handling will be more coordinated and integrated. So will the act of reconciling your bank account with athenaNetSM. With athenaClinicals, there will be fewer steps for clients to take including fewer letters for you to write. If you don't see it, hold me to it during the year.
In this issue of the Pulse, you'll hear from athenahealth® clients in cardiology and orthopaedics on how athenahealth is helping their practices. In the Compliance Corner you will find the final rules on complying with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act's (HIPAA) nondiscrimination provisions. Our athenista profiled this month is Ed Park. Eddie is our Chief Software Architect and the original author of the athenaNet code. Good guy to know! And Q4 2006 Live Benchmarking winners are announced below. Is your practice listed?
I wish you the best of health and happiness in 2007.
