Two Cardiology Groups Begin to Use athenaClinicals

Two Colorado cardiology groups begin to use athenahealth's new electronic medical record (EMR) and revenue-cycle management services

Aurora Denver Cardiology Associates, P.C., and Western Cardiology Associates, representing more than 60 providers across 16 practice locations, will use athenahealth to help streamline their clinical and financial operations. Leveraging athenaClinicals, the industry's only web-based EMR service, both groups will now be able to document all patient visits and procedures, submit orders and manage tasks in a single, secure online patient record hosted by athenahealth.

"We had tried several software-based EMR and practice management solutions over the past few years, but athenahealth's services took a completely different approach to supporting our existing clinical workflows and will now make the EMR process flexible and economically sustainable for the practice."
- Bill Johnson, Chief Executive Officer of MSO Inc. and Aurora Denver Cardiology Associates

Large Orthopaedic Practice Notes Financial Improvement using athenaNet

Triangle Orthopaedic Associates, P.A., a leading orthopaedic surgical group with over 60 providers and nine locations, has selected athenahealth's athenaNet practice management system to bolster its financial and operational performance. After using a number of traditional software-based practice management systems over the years, Triangle Orthopaedic providers decided that those systems were not allowing their medical practice to optimize its operation.

"athenahealth's web-based practice management solution is designed explicitly to provide a return on investment for medical practices. By leveraging the network power of thousands of physicians around the country our practice has experienced financial improvement in a short amount of time which means we can now concentrate on patient care and the strategic direction of our practice."
- William Mallon, M.D., Triangle Orthopaedic Associates and American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons Fellow
