How can athenaClinicals transform your practice? In this issue, we bring you the success story of one practice just weeks after installing this ground-breaking tool. We're also happy to announce new and improved scheduling functionality in athenaNet, and our first column in Physician Practice Magazine. And Live Benchmarking is here! For all this and more, read on.

How athenaClinicals is transforming one practice
In December, Dr. Eugene Constantinou's internal medicine practice was the first to go live with the Alpha Version of athenaClinicals. This month, learn how athenaClinicals is already translating into streamlined patient care (and more free time on weekends) here.

Live Benchmarking is here: Where does your practice rank?
We are excited to officially launch athena's Live Benchmarking Program. If you've been live on athenaNet for over 90 days, you have seen this in action - and many of you live by this daily. Learn more about this tool and all the fabulous prizes to be awarded here.

New schedule template flexibility
We are excited to announce a new-and-improved user interface and scheduling functionality, released for Beta testing in the latest version of athenaNet. Click here for details.

athena's column launches in Physicians Practice Magazine
As those of you who attended the User Conference know, we regularly collect and review a vast amount of data on best (and worst) practices in practice management. This month, Physicians Practice Magazine kicks off a year-long collaboration with athena to bring that data and our insights into practice management to over 300,000 readers in a new column called Practice Management Lab. Click here to read it.

Vital Stats
Because of athena's powerful rules engine, denials only represent about 10% of all claims. When a claim is denied, here are the top ten reasons (shown for Collector clients). We believe that greater detail on eligibility transactions with payors has a significant impact on the top two items. And Senior Vice President of Business Development Nancy Brown is on a mission to improve eligibility relations with senior management in the payor community.

First athena Institute in Las Vegas
In addition to our partnership with Physician Practice Magazine, we've undertaken another initiative to convert our knowledge about best practices into active healthcare reform. Click here to read about athena's first Institute.

athenista spotlight: Meet Rob Halpern
