athenista spotlight: Meet Bob Brady

He loves providing excellent service to clients - good thing, since he's in charge of the Client Service Center (CSC) team. Before you see him at the User Conference in October (he's leading and developing quite a few sessions) meet Bob Brady, this month's featured athenista.

athenaPulse: Tell us about your position at athenahealth.
Bob Brady: I manage the Client Service Center. I'm very lucky to have such a dedicated team of professionals who love providing excellent support to our clients.

aP: What do you do in a typical day at work?
BB: Typical day? Thankfully no day is typical. But each day we all work hard to ensure our clients are satisfied.

aP: Your favorite "athenahealth moment?"
BB: We recently went to George's Island [in Boston Harbor] for Client Operations team building. It was great to get to know my coworkers on a different level.

aP: According to your team members at the CSC, you're obsessed with American Idol. Do you have anything to say about that?
BB: Well, we all have our guilty pleasures.

aP: Best vacation you ever took?
BB: I want to Maui for my honeymoon - I don't think anything will ever compare.

aP: Why would your neighbors describe you as "colorful?"
BB: I accidentally painted the neighborhood orange. I threw away a can of paint and the trashmen spilled it up and down the streets of the neighborhood, making giant streaks on all the streets. When they realized it, they returned the can to me by throwing it into my yard. I was out there all night with the pressure washer trying to remove the paint, but it was way too much. I'm still tired...

aP: What is your role in the upcoming User Conference?
BB: I'll be doing a few presentations at the upcoming User Conference. I'm also leading the development of some of the sessions, as well as participating as a consultant on others.

aP: What are you most looking forward to about the conference?
BB: Last year it was great to put faces to the clients that we talk to every day. I look forward to meeting more people this year!

aP: What do you think clients will most enjoy about the conference this year?
BB: We're putting our all into making this the best User Conference ever, so I hope clients will walk away with a lot of great information. I also think clients get a big kick out of meeting the folks at athenahealth since we work so closely together.
