Letter from Jonathan

athenahealth pushes onward in our battle to end clinical paper. You've heard our promise - athenaClinicals is a solution that goes above and beyond what traditional electronic medical records (EMRs) have been able to do. In this issue, word from the front: What have we learned about implementation of athenaClinicals from the first practices to use it? Also, read about athenahealth's new schedule template builder, our second column in Physicians Practice Magazine, and featured athenista Jennifer Furlong's supply of Turtle Wax. Read on!

New schedule building is here!

OK, so you've been imagining (and asking) for this for a long time. Click here to read about the new schedule template builder and see if we've hit the mark.

athenista spotlight: Meet Jennifer Furlong
She's not a morning person but is a Jeopardy champ - and one of athenahealth's ever-helpful Client Services Associates for the Southern Region. Meet Jennifer Furlong, this month's featured athenista.

Vital Stats
Days in Accounts Receivable (DAR) dropped 3.8% between 2005 and 2006. While DAR dropped overall, DAR for Commercial payors remained about the same. We're working hard to make sure DAR continues to go down among all the major payor categories.

athenahealth's second column in Physicians Practice
As those of you who attended the User Conference know, we regularly collect and review a vast amount of data on best (and worst) practices in practice management. This year, Physicians Practice Magazine kicked off a year-long collaboration with athenahealth to bring that data - and our insights into practice management - to over 300,000 readers in a new column called "Practice Management Lab." Click here to read the second column.

athenaNet scores record hits
athenaNet handled a record-breaking 5.8 million hits in one day this month. And we're ready for even more activity on athenaNet as the athenahealth family continues to grow. Bring it on!
