We're proud to announce that the Certification Commission for Health Information Technology (CCHIT) has certified our electronic health record, athenaClinicals, as "capable of meeting the 2011/2012 criteria supporting Stage 1 meaningful use as approved by the Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS)."
This is a key step in helping our athenaClinicals providers receive Federal Reimbursement for the "meaningful use" of an EHR. This represents total payments of up to $44,000 under Medicare and up to $63,750 under Medicaid.
Here is the announcement from CCHIT.
Jonathan Bush, CEO, had this to say, "athenahealth is very pleased to gain ONC-ATCB certification for athenaClinicals. We believe this certification further demonstrates our company’s commitment to help physicians successfully utilize EHR technology and underscores the value of our Federal Stimulus Bonus Guarantee Program.”
athenahealth was included in a first, exclusive group of EHR vendors to achieve Final Rule certification. With the 10.10 Release of athenaNet on October 15th, every athenaClinicals provider will be using our meaningful use certified EHR technology. Over the coming year, athenahealth will continue to provide guidance and support to providers on their path to fulfillment of meaningful use.
