Data Collection Period And Scope
The Texas data reported here are based on actual physician activity captured in the second quarter of 2006 by athenahealth on its system. This involved an analysis of over 295.000 charge lines relating to more than 330 practitioners in 59 medical practices. Obviously, more charge lines applied to some payers rather than others, and the number of athenahealth customers submitting to any one of the listed payers varied during this period - from a low of 8 to a high of 27 physician practices (including practices with multiple practitioners). For listing of payers on a Texas statewide basis, we included payers with at least 1,500 charge lines in our system for the relevant period (the maximum to any one payer exceeded 100,000).
We report the data on this site as we have found them in our system under these parameters, we make no representation and do not assert that the data are statistically relevant for any given payer or for payers as a whole or that they are representative of anything other than the experience that we have observed during the relevant time period.
